High School Baseball Practice Plan Template
High School Baseball Practice Plan Template.
Streamline your team's development with this comprehensive, easy-to-use template. Designed for high school coaches, it covers warm-ups, drills, scrimmages, situations, and cooldowns, ensuring efficient and effective practices.
All coaches dream of winning a state championship. To win it all, you must have "dudes" and some luck. But you can get the most out of your team and win a District Championship or at the very least make the playoffs.
No matter what title you win, they all have one thing in common . . . a good practice template. And that is what I will share with you today.
High School Baseball Practice Plan Template
Texas high school baseball state championship games are played in Round Rock. To visualize my goal I created a practice plan to get us there. This template had many revisions but what I am giving you today is the final and best baseball practice template.
Since games in Texas are played on Tuesday and Friday nights, I created a weekly practice plan where the team would get quality work on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

What about the pitchers?
I will write a blog post soon and email it if you are a blog post subscriber.
If you can't wait and want more details on how to practice your JV and Varsity pitching staff at the same time, I have created:

Closing Thoughts
You have multiple objectives that you can cover using this practice plan. You do not have to cover them all at each practice, but you have to touch on them consistently every other week.
Each of my practices lasted between 1 - 2.5 hours.
I would plan practice based on the following criteria:
What part of the season we are in?
Did we play the night before at home or on the road?
Were we heading to a tournament?
What is the physical and mental health of the team?
What are the current weather conditions?
What are the predicted weather conditions?
What school events or holidays are coming up?
I used to plan my weekly practice schedule every Sunday afternoon when my mind was clear.
