Get the 5 Objectives to Baseball Below

1.  Throw Quality Strikes - if your pitcher can throw strikes you have a chance to win.  But if your pitcher can throw quality strikes with a change of speed, change of location, as well as throw high and tight and low and away you have an even better chance of success.

2.  Play High Level Catch - your entire team must be able to play catch, adjust to poor throws, have quick hands, and throw the ball accurately with velocity.

3.  Put The Ball In Play - just putting the ball in play gives you a chance to score.  By having the ball in play the defense has to field the ball, throw the ball, and catch the ball while the hitter simply just runs.  This puts stress on the defense.  And, don't forget about bunts and hit and runs.

4.  Run the Bases Aggressively and Intelligently - means don't get picked off at first, don't get thrown out at third, turn singles into doubles, and steal bases when you can.  Put stress on the defense!

5.  Control all Situations - put the team in as much stress as possible at practice, work all situations at game speed, and make sure the team is able to communicate and execute.  Be sure to use the Checklist below to make sure you cover it all.

How did KretzFiles.com help Coach Steve Garcia?

Your info was very helpful with getting these guys back to fundamentals and learning the game.

Game speed and what I call baseball IQ is what we lacked and the resources that I received from you helped me out tremendously this season.

You have all the bases covered from the beginning of the season to the end and I thank you for that.

I am a first year head coach and I don't know how I would have survived this season without your help and resources.
